    Description

Antique Texaco Gas Station Lubritorium Folk Art Handmade Hand Painted Garage Building. has many hinged doors including a little door on the men's room off the front office! When opened the base measures 16" wide and 15 3/4" front to back; it is 8" tall; it weighs 5 pounds 1 ounce. Original red and silver paint and hand marked Texaco Lubritorium & Office. I love this great piece of petroliana Americana. Based on the style I would guess it is 1930's - 1940's era, the form is a bit Art Deco. The building probably had a small flag finial at top front that is missing and the hinged front folds up and appears to have had a latch that is also missing but it is otherwise fine clean solid and sturdy with a wonderful aged patina - see my 12 detailed photos. It would go great with your old vintage car collection. I guarantee this is a genuine very vintage item and paint is certain original.
