    Stunning Antique Scottish Silver Thistle & Cairngorm Crystal Kilt Pin Brooch
    Beautifully made, antique Scottish kilt pin of a circular thistle theme of a repousse continental silver shield base with a large faceted, open back, claw-like set Cairngorm Citrine crystal in the center
    This beautiful adaptation of ancient kilt pins was made in Great Britain and is not hallmarked.  However, the pin does not stick to a magnet which indicates silver content.  Exact purity is unknown although I am guessing at least a 700 purity.
    This kilt/pin brooch is solid and well constructed, measuring 2.75" in diameter and weighs a hefty 43 grams.  The center citrine crystal measures 30mm in diameter
    Long tube pin clasp on the back side.
    This lovely Edwardian kilt pin is truly a Scottish hallmark in itself.
    Excellent preserved condition.
